Meet Your District 801 (Farmville) Supervisor
Pattie Cooper-Jones is serving her fourth term on the Board of Supervisors in District 801 (Center) in Farmville. On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, Mrs. Cooper-Jones became the first woman and the first African-American to hold the position of Chair of the Board of Supervisors. She enjoys being on the Board and is thankful for the many relationships that she’s built with the people in Prince Edward County. She adds that she is honored to serve the citizens of Prince Edward County.
Mrs. Cooper-Jones moved to Prince Edward County on August 23, 1983 when she accepted the role of Property Manager at Parkview Gardens Apartments (39 years ago), where she continues to serve today.
She is the proud wife of Stanley Jones. She is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and is known as “Mama Coop” to so many others.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fishing and playing bingo; she takes joy in spending time with family, and feels that nothing is more important than love between family.
