The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors
meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room in the County Courthouse, 111 South Street, Third Floor, Farmville.

 

The Prince Edward County Planning Commission meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room in the County Courthouse, 111 South Street, Third Floor, Farmville.

 

 

 

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors will hold the following Public Hearings Tuesday, September 8, 2015 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room, Prince Edward County Courthouse, 111 South Street, Third Floor, Farmville, Virginia:
1.
To receive public comments on eligible transportation projects the County will submit for HB2 financing through VDOT. They are: (1) U.S. 460/VA 307 Intersection; (2) US 15/VA 692 Intersection; and (3) US 15/VA 665 Intersection.

Request by Southern States, Inc. for a Special Use Permit to install one off premise sign that will be located on a parcel owned by STEPS, Inc. on property identified as Tax Map Parcel023B-A-2, located at 100 Industrial Park Road. This is an I-1, General Industrial District.

Request by Chapman Hood Frazier for a Special Use Permit to operate a Family Day Home for up to twelve (12) children on property identified as Tax Map Parcel 041-15-46, located at 71 Sunrise Lane, Rice, VA. This is an A-1, Agricultural Conservation District.

Amendments to the County Zoning Ordinance to allow illuminated signs in the Commercial and Industrial Districts as a permitted use and to add a Special Use Permit process for dormitories in the A-1, Agricultural Conservation and A-2, Agricultural Residential Districts to allow facilities providing off-campus student housing.

The Prince Edward County Board of Zoning Appeals
will hold a public hearing Monday, September 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room, Prince Edward County Courthouse, 111 South Street, Third Floor, Farmville, Virginia, to receive public input prior to considering and taking action on the following:
1. Thomas and Phyllis Tillerson request a variance to reduce the required road frontage and side yard setback requirements. The property is located at 318 Tuggle Road, Tax Map Parcel 021-A-39.
