The County of Prince Edward, VA, is seeking County Attorney services to be the principal legal advisor to the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator. This is a part-time position that supervises the legal affairs of the County; requires a highly experienced Virginia-licensed attorney; and graduate of an accredited law school.  Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Virginia.  Familiarity with general civil litigation is necessary. The County Attorney advises local officials and represents the County on all areas of local government law, to include: contracts; construction law; land use, subdivision and zoning; real estate and eminent domain; general utility issues; employment law; and parliamentary procedure. Attendance is required at all Board meetings and, as needed, at Board Committee and Planning Commission meetings.  Fee structure negotiable based upon experience.  Letters of interest with resume and fee requirements will be accepted through Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.  Please submit letter/resume to:  County of Prince Edward, ATTN:  W.W.
