Prince Edward County operates a municipal solid waste landfill to accommodate the non-hazardous solid waste disposal needs of its residents, businesses and industries.
The County's sanitary landfill is located in the western portion of the county and has a current useful life of approximately 20 years, with additional land for expansions.
Note: Effective July 1, 2021, the Landfill Tipping Fees have been adjusted. Please see the Landfill Tipping Fees below for more information.

Materials Accepted
- General household waste tires and brush.
- Recyclables including plastic containers, newspapers, cardboard, clear glass and metal.
Solid Waste Convenience Centers
Sites' Hours are as follows:
- Monday - Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

- Closed: All Sites are closed on New Year's Day, July 4th holiday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
