Born at what is now Centra Southside Hospital, Cannon has lived in Prince Edward most of his life.   He is a Senior VP at Davenport & Company LLC on Main Street in Farmville, where he has spent the last 30 years.   He is past president of Rotary Club of Farmville, and his currently Finance Chair of Farmville United Methodist Church. 

He has spent over a decade on the Prince Edward County Planning Commission and looks forward to serving as a Supervisor.  Cannon and his wife, Lorrie, have two children who are currently college students.
